The Day Before New Year

It's going to be a stay-home day today. For now, at least. Ramai orang keluar ni rasanya. Wouldn't want to be caught in the crowd with other people. Lagi pun semalam dah keluar. So, we had breakfast at home today. Yang worthy of being mentioned is because Hubbs decided to learn how to make cekodok this morning 😄. Azam tahun baru eh?

I have been thinking these few days - I'm going to start a new label and post recipes of my cooking. My style. In proper manner. It's actually dedicated for anak comel. I thought - one fine day when I'm no longer around, she would have access to the recipes and methods on how to cook the meals I usually cook at home. That will start soon - next year 😉.
We bought baguette yesterday and I made this herb and garlic infused olive oil. We first tasted this at Italiannies some time back and anak comel was so into it. Dah lama tak buat sebenarnya. Now I plan to make a jar of the oil and keep it in our pantry. Senang sapa-sapa nak makan. And healthy too!
First batch of Hubbs' cekodok. Ada bentuk dinosaur, ada bentuk seterika...😁... Hehehe... but they tasted yummy! 👍 Akak bagi 4 bintang!
Pagi ni jadi boss eh?

I have not been attending to my garden much lately. Quite busy with work. Pagi ni baru nak tengok pokok-pokok. Letak baja sekali mana yang berkenaan. I need to work on the garden. Weeds are everywhere.
 Tak ada rezeki nak rasa kambas yang ditanam sendiri. Last week dah start nampak daun-daun macam kering kena disease. I should've made the dishwasher soap+garlic+cili api mixture to spray the leaves but I was really tied up. Semalam pokok ni mati. Tak apa lah...
 Allah tu Maha Kaya kan? Dia ganti dengan rezeki lain. Pokok kacang botol ni dah berminggu tak ada bunga, tapi pagi ni naik 2-3 bunga. 
Sejak balik dari trip Surabaya dulu I always have some pokok bawang around. Dulu-dulu sebab nak ambil daun bawang tu untuk masak. Yang I tanam ni shallots. Kalau tanam bawang besar merah tu, daun dia lagi besar dan sedap. Those are the ones yang dia orang letak dalam murtabak kalau beli street food di Surabaya. A few weeks ago, I sempat cabut weeds sikit-sikit kat garden dan tercabut satu gugus bawang yang daunnya dah kering. Rupanya bawang tu dah beranak-pinak kat dalam tanah. Walaupun kecik-kecik (kena biar lama lagi tu), tapi dapatlah satu gugus tu dalam 3-4 bawang. Bila basuh, the kulit just got peeled off easily. I slice kasar-kasar dan masukkan dalam kerabu ulam. Tasted wonderful 😋!
