Living with Sarah

Hari ni Aliyah sekolah. Setelah seminggu lebih Form 3 "direhatkan". Itu pun dia kata bosan sangat sebab memang dah tak ada apa nak buat kat sekolah. I have a feeling dia akan "rehat" esok :). Bila dia sekolah barulah ada sebab nak keluar for a jog. Sebab alang-alang dah drive out terus ke that small park depan Vista. Kat situ saja ada peace of mind. Bila jog kat jalan risau sebab kereta agak laju pagi-pagi. Hari ni tak lama sangat pun. Dan route pun huru-hara. Bukan apa, ada satu family yang sampai lepas I buat 2 rounds. Dok mengelak diaorang lah tu :). Breakfast lepas balik dari settlekan my mother. Nasi goreng belacan cili api dengan leftover sayur malam tadi. Plus 3 ketul nuggets. Banyak protein daripada carbs dalam tu! Ye lah tu :). Setelah risau berat badan naik, hari ni timbang dah nak almost reach that weight before I got lazy. Lagi 500gram! Yeay! Berkat puasa semalam kot. Tengah rajin buat felt pin cushions.

It's Awal Muharram holiday today. Hubbs didn't come back this long weekend. Insyaallah Friday ni. Walaupun ada "ura-ura" kata nak balik tapi tak jadi sebab ticket agak mahal. So, mother and daughter buat aktiviti sendiri. Mostly pergi makan-makan dan jalan-jalan. Anak comel agak kuat makan lepas bukak braces :). On Saturday we went for lunch at Sushi King Alamanda. She had 3 plates of sushi and he usual tempura udon. Badan tetap kurus jugak! Sambil-sambil jalan survey sekali "potential" birthday present dia. Hubbs and I thought of getting her sunglasses. A good one. Tapi dia tak nak. I finally suggested a ring because she loves my "girlfriend rings". I remember that kind of rings used to be called that. The kind of rings that women buy for themselves.  Anyway, another reason to go out on Sunday to IOI City Mall pulak nak survey rings. Finally got the ring that she fell in love with at Lazo Diamonds. It's been a quiet week. Aliyah had her PT3 Ujian Mendengar BM and English Listening exam on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday and Friday (today), her PT3 Trials pulak. She looked exhausted. I was thinking of letting her stay at home last night to study on her own instead of going to her tuition class, but she insisted. I guess the exam bug has finally bitten her and she really has shown that she's taking her exams seriously. I didn't even have to ask her to study. She's doing it on her own. Just asked how her exam was. That's it. I thought of my own days when I took my SRP and SPM. Everything was my own initiative. Of course the environment was different. So, I was mostly home alone this week :(. I had loads of work anyway. After one 5-minute briefing session with my team leader on Tuesday at Bangsar South office, and spending the rest of the hour just talking nonsense on our old days at PPP/ITM, I have reports to do and system user manual right after. As long as ...

Ya, kerja saya sangat banyak sekarang. Next week ada workshop. Satu benda pun tak ready lagi. Still doing testing for UAT (final kah?) the week after. By now patut tengah study business flow for the workshop. Bukan patut study, patut dah hafal. At the same time, that translation work yang sepi tanpa berita berminggu-minggu baru hantar latest English version. Nak kena compare word for word, page by page. Banyak lah pulak changes. Deadline? Monday. So, what do I do when I get swarmed by work and stressed out? I distract myself doing other things! Ya, tindakan yang sangat tidak bagus dan akan mengundang masalah besar. But then, just before Raya, I got this payment for my felt craft I put at my nephew's spa. While it's not much, but I actually sold quite a few. Bila kira balik rasanya paling kurang 15 kot. Jadinya, sebelum jari-jari menjadi keras, I start felting again. Baru siap 3. But good to release stress :)

Alhamdulillah, this project arrangement has so far been quite satisfactory. Once or twice a week of travelling to KL for meetings, the rest of the days are spent working from home. Today, since dah berjaya siapkan ToC for UAT script last night, way ahead of today's 2.30pm meeting, sempat jahit felt kepala teddy bear :). Tengah kumpul-kumpul untuk hantar ke Izzkin. Bukan nak buat duit sangat, just nak dapat balik modal beli barang. Stress therapy yang agak fun. Senyumannya agak awkward :). Next time kena kasi senyum lebih sikit.

Stress-reliever. Never would have thought I would actually enjoy sewing and making crafts. So far sudah berjaya membuat beberapa ketul love-shaped felt keychains. Rasa nak buat business out of this lah. Open for orders :)

Completed my 2nd felt craft- bookmark kontot. Sebab kainnya memang sikit saja. A gift to Hubby even though he's not a bookworm. I am. Must make myself one :). But he keeps my bookmark in his wallet!  One side cupcake... One side butterfly! Nowadays, every night I would work on my little "studio". My writing table in my bedroom has been converted into a workbench. My rabun dekat got the help of one LED table lamp and one LED reading lamp plugged to my laptop. So, quite a good working environment. Usually, lepas tengok Big Bang Theory, start work :).  Today spent almost a day at The Mines with Linda researching our project at Spotlight. Memang best but a bit pricey. At least dapat ilmu baru :). So, we parted with each having tasks of our own. We'll start with simple felt craft first before we do that secret project. Yeay! For the past 2 weeks, I've been researching this field of handicraft that really interest me. As time goes by, when I actually try doing it, it really is difficult. Nampak macam senang. What I plan to do is - secret for now. In the midst of research phase. I think the best way is to go to a class and really learn how to do it. Anyway, one branch from that handicraft field is felt art. Amazing stuff. Also, nampak macam senang tapi tak lah senang. Mulanya plan nak pegi buat research dengan Linda esok, tapi hari ni pun dah jumpa barang-barangnya. Hari ni Aliyah patut pergi hangout dengan kawan-kawan dia kat IOI City Mall. Tapi last minute, sorang backed out due to an emergency. Mula-mula muka tension macam mati kucing. So I thought, since I'm the one supposed to drive the girls, might as well take the day off and hangout with her. So, hari ni spend setengah hari ukur mall. Berjaya membeli jeans baru setelah jeans lama koyak setelah bertahun-tahun pakai. Half price at Parkson. ...
