Jadi mak ni kena galas bermacam-macam roles kat bahu. Minggu ni ialah minggu supir sedunia. Asyik kena drive Aliyah around (and once or twice, her friends too). But I'm not complaining. Ikhlas. Especially that they involve education. Niat dalam hati, aku ni hantar (or fetch) anak dan kawan-kawannya belajar. Fisabillilah tu... Makin dekat nak exam PT3 ni, makin banyak activities. This week, almost every night ada tuition class. Pecutan terakhir namanya. Tapi ponteng sehari sebab dia sakit pinggang, dan semalam class cancelled sebab ada solat hajat perdana untuk PT3 dan SPM di Masjid Seri Putra. Dua hari stay-back kat sekolah sebab ada Maths and Science classes.
I can see she's tired. Nak pulak, it's that time of the month. Muka pun moody je. Ada masanya, tak kiralah kita ada masalah sebesar Gunung Kinabalu pun, masalah anak kena settle kan dulu. Like yesterday, after I fetched her from school at 4pm, and after sending her friend back home, we went to Hj Tapah. Dia lapar tapi it was too early for tomyam. So, had to settle for roti telur. Muka nampak letih sangat. Mood swing pun iya kot. I asked a few times if she's OK, and she just shrugged.
Kesian pulak. Kenalah maknya jadi penglipur lara kan. So I told her I have started reading Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. That instantly lifted her mood a bit. I told her the summary of the kind of life Harry Potter is living, his friends and children, and the story so far. That's about half of the book. In between mouthfuls of roti telur she listened, laughed and smiled. OK lah kan. Tak le moncong je mulutnya. Sigh, what a mother would do for her daughter :).

I'm now more than half way through. Very light reading. Could have been a good book but since it's a play, there's not much descriptions. So, can't really imagine the situations much. I read somewhere about how different the female characters have become now that it's written by a man. The female characters written by Rowling are very strong. But in this book they are side-tracked, bit weak... except for Delphi. At times rasa nak je goncang Hermione - you can do better than this!
