First Week of School

Quite a colourful first week of school.

Both of us accompanied Aliyah to school on Monday - afternoon session. As usual, assembly first. We left her at the hall and went to sit at the canteen. Hubby and I sat reminiscing our own primary schooling days (me - first 5 years in PJ and Std 6 in Sg Besar, him - his days in Melaka). Then went to the bookshop, and back to the canteen.

Hubby went to check in the hall and found the Std 3 have gone to their individual classes. Haiyoo... teruk betul lah parents Aliyah ni, bercerita sampai tak sedar anak dah masuk kelas. So, we went to find Aliyah's class. We spotted her running down and up again, then down again with her bag. Apparently, her name was not listed in 3 Tanjung (at first I thought she didn't pay attention in class last year when the teacher sorted them into classes but then there were 2 more kids along with her who were not listed, so we blamed her Std 2 class teacher, who was actually sick end of last year, so - never mind!). The 3T teacher then asked her to go next class to check her name, pun tak da. And such smart girl, she then went to see this Indian teacher who's the Std 3 "chief". Aliyah is actually in 3 Melur.

When we caught up with her, she's actually running to her new class - top floor, next building. Aduss, jauh tu... The 3M class teacher pulak boleh kata kelas dia dah cukup budak. Hubby repeated Aliyah's name a few times and referred to the name list posted on the door, barulah cikgu tu sedar ada sorang budak missing. Apparently ada Noraliah in the class and the teacher assumed that's Aliyah Maisarah. OKla, cikgu senior yang nampak macam couldn't really careless with "I'm-an-otai" kind of attitude. Whatever.

We went back home and came back end of school day just to make sure Aliyah knows where to catch her school van. As usual, I memang angin with selfish parents yang feeling-feeling park kereta dekat dengan entrance tak sedar bawah kereta dia ada tulis "Van & Bus Only". Rasa nak je ambik duit syiling and calarkan je kereta diaorg. What kind of stupid parents are these? I saw at least 3 kids going around trying to find their van/bus tapi tak jumpa and were in tears. Obviously the van/bus was parked very far sebab dedicated parking dah penuh dengan kereta parents yang otak tak berapa nak bijak.

We were also so worried about Tisya - Marissa's daughter yang tak muncul2. Hubby found her at the guard's post saying - tengah tunggu Ayah. The van driver called the father and patutnya she boarded the van, the father waited at my sister's house. So, we all pun pujuk dia naik van.

Anyway, I posted my comments on those selfish parents in SKBSP's Facebook. The next day, we saw the vans and buses parked at the dedicated place. Apparently PIBG engaged RELA to help out. Akak ni kuat komplen sekarang kan? I komplen untuk kebaikan semua anak2 yang sekolah kat situ :)

Now things are almost normal. The penat cycle has started - fetch Aliyah from my sister's place, balik masak, catch a few minutes teman dia pegi cycling, etc... Just that I'm glad this year Hubby is around to help out.
