Penang Trip - Day 1

I will share the itinerary I made. It's more of "jalan-jalan cari makan" trip. And we found out that there are so much food to try but so little time. 3D/2N trip is just not enough to explore Georgetown let alone Penang.

We stayed at Neo+ Hotel in Georgetown. It's a spanking new hotel. So everything was still very nice and shiny 😊. Service was very good. Location also quite good. We could've just walked around jumping from street to street. But then, at times, we chose to drive rather than walk. Pemalas namanya!
We reached Penang at around 2pm. First stop is Nasi Kandar Tajuddin Hussain. I decided to skip Line Clear as I have tried that before (errr... tak lah sedap sangat). Parking was bit of a problem, so we tapau the food.
Lepas check-in, duduk bersila atas lantai dan makan nasi kandar. One of the best nasi kandar I have ever tasted. Yang famous ialah Ayam Masak Ros. I expected the gravy to be red but looked like curry instead. The taste was heavenly! I beli 2 bungkus nasi with 3 types of lauk - Ayam Masak Ros, Ayam Goreng dan Kari Kambing. Semua sedap! Even the pappadom was so nice! Thumbs up lah! (Abaikan tangan yang berlumuran kuah kari itu!)
Daripada bilik nampak Hin Bus Depot Art Centre. Dalam Google map macam jauh ke dalam, tapi tepi jalan saja.
Lepas rehatkan perut, we went out. We enjoyed walking around the old shop houses. I love those old floor tiles. Baru jalan-jalan 5 minit terjumpa 1st Avenue shopping complex. Anak comel memang pantang jumpa H&M dan Cotton On!
For dinner we went to Medan Selera Padang Brown. About 5 mins drive away. I didn't include Gurney Drive in our itinerary. Ada orang kata food di Medan Selera Padang Brown lagi sedap dan murah. We had Char Kuey Teow (excellent!), pasembur (pedas sikit tapi sedapppp) and sup ayam with roti benggali (also very sedappp!). We also had the famous Coconut Shake. Excellent!
Pasembur sini pedas sikit compared to the one at Gurney Drive yang agak manis. Yang penting, dalam tu ada udang goreng tepung 😋.
Aliyah enjoyed her sup ayam and roti benggali yang punyalah tebal. But she said, her favourite was the Char Kuey Teow. Habislah, lepas ni kena cari kat area rumah kot ada yang setanding rasanya.
