We were among the earliest to reach the Asli Adventure Base Camp. The first to sign in on the logbook. But the last to reach the top. Hehehe... We took our own sweet time. Bila penat, rehat kejap. Jumpa anything interesting, we stopped, had a look, took selfies :). We started at around 8.30am and reached the waterfall at 11am. Ramai je orang yang kita orang bagi laluan. Sila-sila... :)
Sampai bilik, mandi (yang airnya juga datang dari sungai!), masing-masing membongkang. Penatnya... Petang tu keluar kejap ambik angin owner resort siap tanya how our hike was :). She's so friendly. That night, sewa stove again dan masak leftovers from previous night which we tumpang dalam freezer owner tu.
It rained that night and all of us slept like logs.
The trail was quite easy to follow. I have been worried sick that we might get lost because none of us have hiked there before. Considerate and kind-hearted hikers left signs to follow - ribbons (and pink tissue papers!) tied to trees to show the way. Yang nampak confusing cuma satu - jalan cabang dua early during the hike. Take the one on the left. Ada ribbon ikat kat pokok. Other than that mainly follow saja jalan tu. The small jalan tikus tu jangan lah ikut.
Parking fee RM5. Nice asli chap yang bersungguh-sungguh jaga kereta. Siap letak bata kat tayar kereta takut melungsur:)
Sebelum naik. Bedak tebal lagi :). We started with this cute couple. Siap amin kan doa sebelum mulakan perjalanan. Tapi along the way, dia orang jalan dulu :). Hubby hantar message doa which I recited aloud to the girls.
After crossing a stream, jumpa 2 titi kayu, naik bukit sikit, take the left turn, then we reach this hutan buluh.
Part of the hutan buluh habis terbakar. Sangat teruk weather sekarang...
Baru jalan dalam setengah jam dah lapar! Macam bomba lepas padamkan api pulak.
Kat kebun getah. Punya lah happy lama tak jumpa pokok getah yang orang masih toreh!
Dah mula kena panjat-memanjat...
Mostly trail uphill tapi still landai. Cuma ada 3 tempat yang betul-betul uphill.
Inilah bukit yang mencanak tu. I was so worried nampak muka Ies macam nak give up. Tapi sama-sama naik. Ude siap tolong bawak beg dia. Jumpa another group. One of the girls muntah. Habis keluar semua sure nanti masuk angin. I offered her some of my power bar. She was so thankful! Hehehe... Anyway, akar kayu kat bukit ni rapat-rapat. So, if you climb steadily, it's like going up a flight of steep stairs.
I dah sampai atas! That's how steep the hill was!
Paip air besar yang sangat terkenal itu :). Masa ni jumpa semula group tadi. I talked to one of them, siap impressed to know our age :)
