Day 1 - The Journey Began

9 Oct 2015
The day began as early as 6.45am. Linda came the night before so that we could go together. Hubby sent us to our meeting point with Ies at Petronas near Hospital Serdang. Next stop, to pick up Jay at her house in Puchong Perdana. The car boot was already full by the time all our luggage was stored. Masalah juga ni.

We had sandwiches in the car with the plan to stop at R & R Sg Buluh. Our first "adventure" began - Ies "missed" the left turn North (Ipoh) and took the right turn instead (Kuantan). OMG! We wasted about 30 minutes finding our way back to the route and then missed the exit to the R & R. Haiyooo... that's what happen when you have 4 chatty friends on board! We then stopped at R & R Rawang instead for breakfast.

After that the next planned stop was Mee Udang Mak Jah at Kuala Sepetang. On the way, another obstacle came our way. The hotel I booked called to say that they have to cancel our reservation. Haiyooo... tak pernah dengar jadi kat orang kan? I asked why, the person said, "Err... tak tau. Saya datang kerja pagi-pagi, hotel diarahkan tutup!".

We speculated. And when 4 friends speculated, we had 4 different theories. From a murder took place and the police closed the hotel for CSI investigation, to the place being booked last minute for a Bollywood festival (it is located in Little India by the way). We vowed to find out why. The hotel was the reason we proceeded with the trip because our booking couldn't be postponed! Now we were "homeless"!

Jay had the brightest idea. Since her chocolate stock in her fridge was finished, why don't we go straight to Langkawi! And throughout the trip, she cheekily would "direct" us to that direction.

We managed to find our way to Mee Udang Mak Jah, despite the heavy rain. While savouring the delicious, yes seriously delicious mee udang, we browsed Booking.com for another hotel. We found one that suited our budget and our entourage and available for 2 nights. It was in Batu Ferringhi. Quite a distance from our original plan. But, our road trip was all about adventure, so we booked :)
At 8am. We were going for an adventure I told Aliyah :)
The oh so delicious and awesome Mee Udang Mak Jah. We reached there on Friday afternoon. Not many people around since it's Friday prayers time. But the only available menu were mee udang and nasi goreng udang.
Four friends and a girl on tow!
