Kali ni nak cerita pasal orang Gomen. Gaji dah naik, service pun Pak Lah suruh naik. Overall, our experience with Govt agencies kira OK except for a few. Ni latest one yang menyakitkan hati and mengherankan hati. Sakit hati sebab tak da respect langsung kat orang lain punya payment/income. Heran pasal orang macam ni pun boleh diterima kerja. Patutnya dah lama kena buang pasal buat kerja tak pakai otak. Here's the story.
This morning I asked Linda to contact this client of ours yang our work with them dah siap since early October. Katanya nak bayar end of this month. Bila call that department dah hantar all necessary documentation to finance. So, mintak lah contact orang finance. Our payment is divided into 2 even tho same job. And for some strange reason, the 2 payments are being processed by 2 different persons. So, Linda called the person handling the 1st payment - we found out everything dah siap last week, cheque dah prepare and he has passed it to the department handling postage. Siap tanya - tak dapat surat lagi ke? The 2nd payment pulak - person in charge baru terima LO and he will process this week. Very funny. Same job, LO sent together, different persons processing with different speed. Nevermind...
1st payment patut dah dapat, so I asked Linda to find out exactly who's supposed to process postage. Kalau nak tunggu je we'll never know what happened to the cheque. Bila dapat the person know what he said? "Oh, cheque tu ada pada saya tapi sampul surat dah hilang. Banyak sangat lah surat saya kena hantar. Awak bagi lah alamat, saya buat sampul surat baru." Can you imagine, we have this kind of people in Govt agencies? Kepala hotak ko! Ko dah simpan cheque tu seminggu lebih sampai sampul surat hilang, pas tu tak reti-reti nak contact finance department for our office address. Ko simpan cheque tu nak buat apa? Nak simpan sampai bila? Kalau we all tak cari dia, entah sampai bila dia nak simpan our cheque.
And we the taxpayers are actually paying salary for this kind of idiots. Ko dapat gaji tepat 24hb every month boleh sesuka hati buat macam tu. That cheque is income to some people you stupid moron. I have translators working till wee hours of morning to finish up the job, I exchange emails during sahur time, I even throw in some free pages of translation... And after all the hardwork, this idiot actually kept our cheque because he stupidly lost the envelop and has no brains to get back the address.
