Wedding of Ejat & Ekin

Finally the day came! The night before penuh la rumah I dengan family my Kak Long. Rumah dah la jarang berkemas especially ever since we opened the shop. Early in the morning, breakfast at Angah's house. Semua orang siap-siap except Hubby and I yang datang pakai jeans and T Shirt je. Maklumlah, akan bertugas di clubhouse. After wishing Ejat good luck, off they went to Masjid Sg Ramal, while Hubby and I got ready to go to the clubhouse.

At first, both of us thought our task will be a difficult one. This was based on my previous experience with weddings of Nizam and my BILs and SILs. There were always a lot of things to oversee and do. With that expectation, we went "full force" to the clubhouse. However, it turned out that we actually have the easiest task of all. Because - Angah engaged the most professional caterer I have ever encountered. When we reached there, the place was buzzing with activities. The staff were working at their stations with the speed of lightning (ceewah!). Seriously. The meja beradab was ready. The food station was ready just waiting for food to be put. The tea/coffee station also ready. Meja anak yatim also ready.

I had a long talk with the chief caterer. We were worried that the anak yatim would have difficulty in getting food among the guests later. He assured me that they will be taken care of. They will serve the kids well. And true to his words, the kids received VVIP treatment. Makanan disendukkan, air dituangkan. Siap dengan napkins dan fork and spoon. Masyaallah. I was so impressed. The waiters even took the initiative to chat with the kids. Talk about providing extra mile service.

Anyway, despite some interesting mishaps that will be the talk of town for years, the wedding went very well. Angah said there will be more people from Ekin's side than ours due to us being not so popular lately (hehe...). But then, friends, relatives, cousins, neighbours came in droves. The caterer estimated there were about 1,400 guests based on the number of plates they had to wash! We met all our old makcik-makcik we have not met in a couple of years - habis kena peluk cium bagai. Most importantly, we had a wonderful time together as a family - all work tirelessly for the sake of celebrating the wedding of our nephew.

Selamat pengantin baru Ejat and Ekin. Semoga berbahagia dan berkekalan hingga ke anak cucu!
Langkah terakhir sebagai bujang. Balik rumah lagi 2 jam dah jadi suami orang... (Bekal botol air tak pernah tinggal!)
I memang selalu kena buli dengan Kak Long...
Meja oldies kah ini? Hehe... My Abg Ben, my father and on the right is my father's younger brother Acik Adol...
These newlyweds are so cute. Beautiful couple.
Masa baru sampai dan berarak dengan paluan kompang...
VVIP section for anak yatim from two places - Puchong and Banting. The kids range from 5 years old to early teens. Masa mula-mula sampai beratur single file dari bas. Sangat adorable. Rasa sebak tengok. The caterer gave these kids special treatment. Lepas pengantin potong cake, the waiters cut the cakes, put onto paper plates we provided and they actually went over to the kids offering them the cakes. Not the other way around. Kat majlis kami ni, anak yatim tak payah meminta.
Our little family pakai ikut warna tema - gold.
