Living with Sarah

We had an awesome, awesome time in Fraser's Hill last week. As expected when you go with a bunch of crazy friends. Like Jay's status on her FB - pergi dengan geng-geng ni kalau duduk gua pun boleh jadi happening. And we turned the dull place into a place of excitement :). We were there from Friday to Sunday. I took Aliyah with me, who insisted that she follow despite Friday being a school day. OK lah, travelling and visiting a new place pun is education kan. Both of us took the komuter train to Rawang. We met the rest of the gang there - Ude (tumpang kereta dia from there onwards), Linda, Jay and Ies (Ies' car). On Saturday afternoon, Shake and Tuty came up to join us. So, there were 8 of us. Mana tak happening kan?  Tempat wajib ambik gambar di Fraser's Hill - clock tower.  Ambik gambar tengah jalan pun no hal.  Ini lah geng sejak Form 1... Dekat 30 tahun kawan :) Makan ialah acara wajib ;)

Hubbs and I were having breakfast at our usual place i.e. Haji Tapah yesterday when we spotted this rare sighting. Four abang polis on horses right in front of the restaurant. What are the odds? And my thoughts at that time - wish Aliyah was here! I sent her the picture on my way back from meeting. She was so disappointed! Hehehe...

Aliyah dah Form 3 this year. No more hassle in the mornings. Very calm :). She came back saying she's been placed in 8th class out of 15. Drop 3 kelas. I was, of course, disappointed. But I think, she must have felt even worse. One has to experience disappointment at times to bounce back and not be complacent. I hope she learned her lesson. That she can't fool around especially it's exam year. Getting ready for school :)

On 4 January last year, my father left us. Today, my Abang Ben and I went for a visit. I dream of my father at least once a month. To me he still lives in my heart.

A brief recap of 2015. For me. Very early in the year I lost my father. He passed during my turn of taking care of him at the hospital. It really was a traumatic experience for me. Until now, my heart would ache whenever I pass by Hospital Serdang. Tomorrow is the first anniversary of his passing. We closed our bike shop after almost 2 years of operations. It was no longer a feasible business to run. The GST implementation hit us hard. So was the currency drop. Before it dragged us down, we had to let it go. Insyaallah Hubby will continue his bike servicing business from home, like he used to. After a difficult half year, alhamdulillah Hubby got a project. So, it was back to IT consultation work. And I juggled between sending him to work, sending Aliyah to school, at first manning the shop until we closed it down... Sometimes rasa macam berjam-jam duduk dalam kereta. For the first time in years, I finally got to enjoy my home. I managed to rent off our office and after we close...

Happy new year... Time sure flies. Personally, I don't like new year. It feels like being at the bottom of a mountain and looking up you see the peak amongst the clouds with jagged rocks and obstacles in between. Lama tu nak sampai atas... I wanted to recap my 2015. Will do it later :). We ended the year "frolicking" at shopping complexes. Banyak duit katanya? Mostly spent on food. Yang penting beli barang keperluan seperti router yang powerful untuk gantikan router original Unifi TM yang sangat menyakitkan jiwa. Asal tutup pintu bilik je Internet dah tak dapat. Sekarang? Bukak movie streaming langsung tak ada buffer ;). Best, best. My hopes for 2016... Since Aliyah will start school, morning session that is, I hope to get back on my fitness program yang dah lama berkubur. Nak la fit sikit walaupun tak kurus! I also would like this year to be a more interesting year. Now that I've hooked up with old friends who share similar interest i.e. travelling and eating, ...

I love this pic. Friends since 1984. We grew up together. All of us, at one point, might drifted apart for a while. But we always get back together. Insyaallah another trip is coming in 2 weeks time. I'm still contemplating. Tak sure schedule sebenarnya. But I'll miss a whole lot of I don't join these girls! 3D wall mural katanya :)
