It Was My Birthday Yesterday... Again!

 Another birthday! Alhamdulillah... Another bonus year kurniaan Allah. Since it's on a Tuesday, my little family planned my birthday small celebration last weekend. 

On Saturday, I thought we were driving to Evo Mall to have lunch at Sushi King. But then Hubbs set his Waze heading somewhere else. They say to some place I would definitely enjoy. Perut dah lapar tapi the destination took 50 minutes! Bila sampai area Bukit Jelutung, terus tau dah nak ke mana. We actually just went there the week before. They took me to Ayer's Rock. The place actually belonged to Hubbs' school friend. On our last visit, I ordered Mixed Grill. Tapi rasa macam menyesal sikit sebab the place's specialty is actually meat. 

Elok tengah tengok menu, his friend dropped by. Terus Hubbs tanya - tomahawk ada hari ni? Tomahawk? Bukan besar ke? Err... dan mahal. Apparently stock baru masuk and his friend personally selected one that he said the 2 of us might be able to finish. Anak comel memang dah set nak makan burger, which trust me, was really, really good. That's how we ended up having tomahawk for my birthday lunch. And it was so, so good. Masyaallah. 

This huge plate was for Hubbs and I to gobble! Ni bukan yang besau biasa 4-5 orang makan tu. It weighed about 1.1kg including bone. Serious sangat sedap. 

What was left after 30mins! Hubbs lah tu siap boleh kikis lagi meat off the bone.

Ayer's Rock ni serves good meat. When you eat, you taste the meat and not the piled up sauce usually served elsewhere. They serve their dishes with this white sauce at the side yang sangat awesome but light that doesn't compromise the taste of the meat. So carnivores out there, kalau nak makan good steak, sila lah ke Ayer's Rock ya. Harga pun sangat OK. 

Anak comel bought us both kek pandan gula melaka on Sunday. A few days before dia ada cakap dia craving nak makan kek dari SpatulaBake. Rupanya untuk parents dia! Alhamdulillah... so sweet of her.

Kek ni memang favourite kat rumah ni.

Since yesterday was a weekday, memang tak ada apa sangat. Lagipun, birthday lunch sudah, kek pun dah dapat. Went out with anak comel ke Aeon Nilai for lunch and to do grocery shopping. Also to buy stuff for anak comel yang nak balik ke hostel Ahad ni. Oh my, sekejap saja dah habis semester break... Sunyi lah Mommy dia nanti...

Lunch kat Johnny's ni memang asyik order benda yang sama...

Anak comel pulak ada banyak options. I memang nasi goreng tu je!

Masa nak balik, I checked my phone, ada SMS. Aik, Lalamove ada buat delivery. Siapa lah pulak ni...

Alhamdulillah... my financial consultant yang dah jadi macam adik to us tu hantar bomboloni. Semoga murah rezeki dia.

Lepas makan di Ayer's Rock hari tu, I told Hubbs - tak mo makan daging for the next one month! Sekali masuk Aeon, ada pulak small wagyu steaks. Tak boleh tahan lah. Macam first time pulak jumpa ni. Harga pun sangat OK. Kecik je lah dalam 150grams. Beli pun satu cukup! Plan nak pan sear dan serve dengan mushroom dan caramalized onions. Kebetulan Hubbs balik kerja awal, so dia lah yang take over masak.

My birthday dinner - steamed siakap (separuh saja, lagi separuh dah makan semalamnya), salad dan Australian wagyu steak. Masyaallah... wagyu ni memang melt in the mouth lah. Hubbs buat 1 minute each side. And the trick is to add butter. Jadinya, rasa lemak dan a little bit salty.

Alhamdulillah for another birthday.
