Huda's Haven with the Usuals

It's been a month, baru nak update! After almost 10 months of not seeing each other, the usual achik-achik met up for a short getaway on 22 & 23 Oct. Tempat dituju - Huda's Haven at Batang Kali. All of us convened at Mas's place in the morning and parked our cars there. Mas volunteered to drive. Destinasi pertama - breakfast at Hartinie's Shah Alam. Selalunya Mas tapau food dari situ makan kat rumah dia. Ini first time I makan sana. Perjalanan pun dimulakan... Siap driver salah masuk simpang sebab borak-borak tak sedar diri. Dia yang kata nak ikut jalan Rawang bypass tapi entah mana dia masuk we ended up at highway towards Bukit Beruntung! Ok, ja

Normal Days But Still With Strict SOPs

Things have started to return to normal. By normal I mean the new normal. Alhamdulillah interstate traveling is now allowed. Seawal hari pertama boleh rentas negeri our little family dah merentas ke Nilai untuk dinner! Actually ada hal lain tapi ambil kesempatan. Rentas negeri masuk tol sebelah. Lama betul tak dine-in kat Sushi King. My anak comel celebrated her 20th birthday on 19 October. Tak sangka dah jejak digit 20an. She's a grown woman now. But she will always be our little girl.  Pagi surprisekan dia dengan this beautiful cake. I ordered rainbow cake with dream catcher deco. Comel betul cake ni. Ingatkan memang surprise lah rupanya anak comel dah tau. Accidently. Dia kata we were at McD drive thru ordering latte to go when she saw a message on my phone. It was from the baker that she ordered Hubbs and my cake from saying - TQ for payment. Aisehhh... But she didn't know what kind of cake we were getting her. OKla ada sikit element surprise! Then, lunch at her favourite

Tiba-tiba Dah October

Seriously, dah 2 tahun kita mereput kat rumah kan? And time sure flies when you are bored. Let's see... alhamdulillah things have really gotten better. In certain aspects like the number of Covid-19 cases and the number of vaccinated people. Well done! Hari ni tinggal lagi 1.6% before the number of vaccinated adults reached 90%. And that means very soon, kita dah boleh rentas negeri. Unless rakyat kena game lah! Insyaallah... What I would do the moment we get to rentas negeri? I nak pergi rentas ke Aeon Nilai! Hahaha... tinggi betul cita-cita. Actually we need to go to MMU Melaka to retrieve anak comel's certificates. Dia dah complete diploma dah. Transcript, other certs semua dah dapat via Pos Laju tapi ada a few yang they missed out. Her virtual declaration of diploma conferment was 2 weeks ago. There will be a real one but don't know when. Mommy dia dah terpacak depan screen nak tengok ceremony tepat pukul 10 pagi. Rupanya her Pak Ben pun sama 😊. At noon, anak comel da

It Was My Birthday! Last Monday...

Alhamdulillah dipanjangkan usia sampai cecah 50 tahun. Bonus sungguh rasanya Allah panjangkan umur. Birthday tahun ni alhamdulillah murah rezeki dapat food delivery. Jenis tau-tau je ada bunyi tingtong ada abam tunggu kat pagar! Sampai semalam masih menghabiskan food birthday. My favourite cake - pandan gula melaka. Masyallah punyalah sedap. Setanding dengan Gula Cakery punya. Untuk my birthday lunch, Hubbs ordered K Fry. I memang sucker for K Fry fried chickens.

Things Have Gotten Better

Alhamdulillah. Things have started to get better. In Selangor that is. KKM said it's due to the high number of vaccination in the state. Dengan izin Allah vaccine works. Walaupun selalu sakit hati baca pasal anti-vaxxers ni, I must say I do respect their choice as human beings. However, the feeling should be mutual. They should respect us, pro-choice too. Or for a much better term - pro-evidence. As being vaccinated is a choice, both parties should accept the consequences. For anti-vaxxers, they must accept the fact that there are things they can't do, places they can't go, etc. I don't understand why they say they are being discriminated. To me, itu untuk keselamatan dia orang sendiri. You are not protected, so you shouldn't go around freely because you might get infected. You should stay home. And for us pro-evidence, kita akan jadi zombie tak lama lagi. Tadaaaa... 😜 I actually just finished a night jog. My very first jog ever since PKP started in 2019! Masuk Se

Paranoia Mode On

Today's case is 21K plus. Highest number of deaths was recorded a few days ago at 300 plus. I have one good friend from school who's battling Covid19. Alhamdulillah after almost 3 weeks of battle, she's getting better. But her experience was harrowing. She got her 2nd dose of vaccine just a few days before she was positive if I'm not mistaken. It truly helped we believe. Just this week, one of my favourite singers Siti Sarah passed away after contacting Covid19. She didn't get to see the baby she delivered while she was in induced coma. It was so heart-breaking to think of her baby who will never get to know his mother. And just yesterday, a young couple died within a day of each other leaving behind a daughter age 2 years old. These are the depressing stories we read every single day nowadays. With these craziness happening, naturally I've switched my paranoia mode on. Hubbs and I are both in vulnerable stage right now having received our 2nd dose of vaccine l

It's a Warzone Out There

Things have gotten from bad to worst. We have all time highest number of cases and all time highest number of deaths just this past week. I just cannot comprehend this anymore. We have stayed home, being locked down to be precise, businesses are closed, borders are closed, no interstate travelling, not even inter district travelling. But still, this pandemic is getting out of control. We used to have 30-40 cases within 1km radius of our house. Today it's 94! It was 76 this morning. Crazy! And the people who contacted the virus seem to be getting closer and closer. It used to be someone's neighbour or someone's friend. Now it is my neighbour and my friend. A few days ago, it claimed the life of a former colleague. She was our receptionist when I was working in ITP/NSTP. She was found dead at her home, all alone. I was down the whole day thinking about her and this scary situation in our country. It's like each of us is just waiting for our turn to come. Ya Allah, lindun
