Rancangan Langkawi trip tergendala sebentar.
Just came back home from watching Fireworks Festival at Putrajaya. Awesome! Amazing! Mesmerizing! Or as in Aliyah's own words - "sakitlah jantung Aliyah".
After my tuition class, I sat at my parents' place talking with the clan. Miqdam my nephew was also there. He got a call from a friend about the fireworks display. So we talked about it for a while and he suddenly said, "Jom Ateh kita pegi tengok!". He said he knows the exact place with good view where we could watch the display. OK lah. Called hubby who was at the driving range and we agreed to meet up after Maghrib.
We went in 2 cars, Miqdam with Iqah, Azah and the 2 kids, and Aliyah joined them. On the way we stopped to buy burgers. When we reached there, there were already thousands of cars along the road to the PCC Putrajaya. Miqdam led us to the road next to a polo field. Many, many cars were already parked but we managed to get a space to park and nice spot for a picnic. Azah, as usual, forget to bring everything she's supposed to bring, so we ended up sitting on newspapers on the ground. We had dinner, watched the nice view of PCC with beautiful lights and spotlight display. Helicopters flew on top of our heads. It was a nice picnic. We talked, the kids played. It's been such a long time since I last went for this kind of impromptu outing.
The show started at around 9.45pm, first with some warm-ups. At 10pm sharp it started. It's performed by the team from Italy. Oh my, at one point, the fireworks almost felt like 3D and you feel like it comes directly to you with waves and waves of sparks in amazing colours. It will slow down for a few minutes with smaller and tamer sparks and then it will start again. It was so much fun.
It was just 30mins but it was really crazy and awesome.
But the drive back was bad. Imagine those thousands and thousands of cars went back all at the same time. But it was worth it!
