31st August always takes me down the memory lane. Every single year when the date looms, FB postings would focus on the day we performed for Merdeka Day years and years ago when we were in Form 4. Funny that all Form 4 students of my previous hostel - ATPN - were involved even though we were actually from different schools ie CBN, BBGS and Sri Aman.
There's something about performing for the whole country that leaves such a deep impact on our lives. So, even though it was 26 years ago (really???), the memory just floods back. And it's just so great that until now, we are still good friends. Sisters forever :)
On the topic of old friends, something amusing came up just yesterday. We are all in this FB group named "Geng Bas Sekolah". I don't know who created the group name. The members are the two KL Yayasan hostels - ATPN and ATDI (girls and boys hostels) class of 1988. Anyway, the police released 49 names of kongsi gelap in Malaysia recently and guess what - ops, we are one of them! Die lor!
